The Between

Something shifted in the world. Not broken. Not ended. Just — different. The kind of different that lives in the air before a storm, except the storm has already passed and this feeling is still here.

The rules have changed. What was solid is thinner now. What was distant is closer. And the things that were lost — they are not gone the way gone usually means.

The Order knows this. They are learning to stand in a place no one has stood before, to look at a world that looks back, and to ask a question that has never been asked:

What if we could go and get them?

There are people worth going after.

There are people who will go.
